Adoption East Midlands launched in 2019 as a collaborative venture between Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire councils to provide a regional adoption service. Adoption East Midlands provides all aspects of adoption recruitment, assessment, family finding, and the coordination of adoption support services. We are a successful child-focused service, making a real difference to the lives of children and adoptive families.

We are currently recruiting to the following posts:
• Adoption Team Manager - Full Time
• Advanced Social Work Practitioner - Part Time (18.5 hours)

The Recruitment, Assessment and Family (RAF) service plays a vital role in supporting prospective adopters from their initial enquiry through assessment and preparation, approval and beyond. We are looking for motivated, innovative and child-centred professionals who can help us continue to develop and strengthen our service.
Adoption Team Manager
The Adoption Team Manager role offers the opportunity to provide leadership, support and direction to a team of skilled practitioners, driving high-quality practice.

Advanced Social Work Practitioner
The Advanced Practitioner role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social work practitioner to develop their career, influence practice, drive performance and help shape the continued development of our regional adoption service.

Both roles offer the opportunity to influence practice, contribute to service development, supporting families in the early stages of their adoption journey working across the region and make a real difference to the lives of adopted children and families across the East Midlands.

Adoption panel membership
We don't have any vacancies for panel members at this time however, we are driven to increase the diversity of our panels in respect of having a better mix of panel members from various ethnic origins. We welcome expressions of interest if you feel you can add value to our panels in this respect. You must also have recent relevant adoption experience.
