NEWSFLASH: Notice of Change in ASF Processing Times

We have been notified today (16 July 2021) by the ASF that, with immediate effect, there will be an increased processing time once applications for therapy and specialist assessments have been submitted to the Fund.
“Since the Fund began in May 2015, it has provided millions of pounds to support thousands of children and families to receive much needed therapies and services.
There has been an unprecedented level of applications submitted to the Adoption Support Fund so far this year. Unfortunately this will mean that, application processing times will increase from 20 working days to 25 working days. This will take effect immediately from 16th July 2021 until further notice. Any applications received after the 16th July will be subject to this new process” (ASF)."
At AEM we will continue to do all that we can to ensure that we are able to carry out Adoption Support needs assessments in a timely way and where there is an identified need, to facilitate the identification of a suitable therapeutic provider so that an application to the fund can be made as soon as possible.
