My Favorite Stranger

You’re a stranger,
And it’s even stranger you’re my favourite one
Because before I could spell ‘I love you’, you were already gone
And if we met now, I always wonder what you would say
You’re just a stranger
Yet I’m wired with your DNA.
‘Depends on the day’
That’s what they would always say with you
‘You need to stop If you want your little girl to stay with you’
But your veins were always laced with something new
Maybe now that’s why I’d rather swallow eight letters instead of choke
Because each day I’m breathing,
I’m just trying to fix what others broke
I bring people into chaos, just like you did with me
But in all honesty, all I want is to make you proud,
I just wish you were here to see
Because for two souls who share the same blood,
We couldn’t be further apart,
I know you couldn’t keep me in your arms,
So for now, just keep me in your heart.
